Conducted research on the relation between speech pauses and gesture holds in spontaneous American English speech, using semi-automatic transcription and annotation of audiovisual data. The project focused on both the production of gesture holds during pauses and their role in pause perception. Tools: ELAN, Praat, R, Whisper, Python.

Investigates the use of mental illness metaphors in LLM-generated and human counseling dialogues. Combines NLP-based metaphor detection with interactional analysis to examine both linguistic patterns and their effects in discourse.
